LilyWing's Wizard Shining
CONGRATULATIONS ANNE! We know you will really enjoy Bow's fun personality and look forward to your adventures together!! Now known as "Roo"
LilyWing's Wizard Shining, call name "Bow", is full of charisma and character. As of September 2021, he is heading to the beautiful Cadbury Woods Farm in New Hampshire, USA to join his new owner, Anne.
Bow is a traditionally bred Irish Sporthorse stud colt out of our DKH Counting Stars "Cait" and by Registered Irish Draught (RID) stallion In Shining Armour "Thatcher". He is conformationally correct, well bred with a pedigree to be an excellent amateur-friendly hunter, jumper or eventer and expected to mature at a substantial +16 hh to take up a long leg. Bow is 3/4 Irish Draught and 1/4 TB, bold and athletic and will definitely turn heads in the show ring, with his dappled chestnut and chrome! Sensitive, friendly and confident, he will excel with an experienced young horse program.
Green book registration pending with Irish Draught Horse Society of Canada, eligible to be endorsed by Horse Sport Ireland and can be cross registered with Irish Draught Society of North America. This colt is also eligible for inspection as a grade up with IDHSC.
His sire, In Shining Armour "Thatcher" stood at Westglen Farms in BC, had a successful jumping career and is owned by an adult amateur which showcases his good nature. Thatcher is now gelded and with limited frozen semen in storage, Bow's pedigree includes underrepresented Irish Draught bloodlines in North America. We hope to repeat this breeding in the future in hopes of a filly!
Bow's dam sire, RID stallion Jaunty Star, has the distinguished honor of being one of the few Irish Draught stallions to be awarded Silver Merit in Eventing based on his performance success. He competed at CIC1* level in 2010 and results are available at visit our website Photo compilation of Jaunty Star in performance available at Watch Youtube Video
