When the stars align....spectacular things happen! We are THRILLED and completely smitten with "Ziggy". Ziggy is our first homebred purebred Irish Draught foal and she represents years of dedication to developing quality foundation stock with performance bloodlines and valuable partnerships in that pursuit! This breeding was in partnership with Fourwinds Farm in Nova Scotia.

Smart, bold, classy and sassy, this filly is going to make waves! We are so pleased to make her available to an approved home. We expect she will stay bay and mature over 16 hh. Ziggy should make an excellant amateur partner for a well supported youth or adult who is committed to bringing her up slowly and correctly. She will also make an excellant broodmare following being presented for Horse Sport Ireland inspection via either the Irish Draught Horse Society of Canada or the Irish Draught Horse Society of North America, after the age of 3 and close to maturity.

Ziggy was foaled and is being raised by the best recipient mare, Max, who is on loan from Heide's Veterinary Service. Embryo transfer was chosen to allow Maybelle to continue her riding career and to be THE BEST breed ambassador! Max, pictured below in her advanced pregnancy, was selected to carry this precious package! She has been a joy in the herd and is equally protective of Ziggy and stern in her raising of this filly!

Ziggy's pedigree boasts of successful Irish Draught dressage performance lines with a dam sire of Lionwood Kinsales Lad and sire's sire of Moorpark Image, who both had successful dressage careers. Maybelle herself is a kind, willing amateur friendly partner in all three disciplines of dressage, show jumping and cross country. Both dam All Maybelle and sire Amhran, are registered and inspected Class 1 Irish Draughts. This purebred filly is eligible for inspection in Canada, the US or elsewhere by the Irish Draught Horse Society of Canada, the Irish Draught Horse Society of North America Horse Sport Ireland. Registration is pending with IDHSC.
